Housecall Pro Pricing in 2026: Plans, Users and What You'll Really Pay

Isaac Harmon · October 14, 2026

Housecall Pro has three plans: Basic, Essentials and MAX. Billed annually they cost $59, $149 and $299 a month, and include 1, 5 and 8 users. On paper that is simple. In practice two things decide the price you pay: how many people need a login, and whether you need one of the features Housecall Pro keeps for its top plan. Recurring service plans are one of those features.

This guide uses the prices on Housecall Pro's own pricing page, checked on October 14, 2026. It covers what each plan includes, what your team size will cost, what three years adds up to, and how it compares with Jobber at the same team sizes.

PlanUsers includedBilled annuallyBilled monthlyExtra users
Basic1$59$79Not published
Essentials5$149$189Not published
MAX8$299$329$35 a month each

Prices are per month in US dollars and exclude sales tax. Housecall Pro's page labels the Basic price as billed annually and shows the higher prices as the monthly alternative, with "saving" labels between them. The page also runs introductory offers: $26 a month for the first month on Basic and Essentials, and $99 a month for three months on MAX. Offers like these change, so check before you count on one.

There is no free plan. There is a 14-day free trial with full MAX access and no credit card.

What paying annually saves

PlanMonthly billingAnnual billingSaved per year
Basic$79$59$240
Essentials$189$149$480
MAX$329$299$360

The discount is largest on the smaller plans. Monthly Basic costs 34% more than annual; monthly MAX only 10% more. Housecall Pro's FAQ says there are no long-term contracts. Upgrades take effect immediately, and downgrades at the end of the current billing period.

Which plan you actually need

The plans differ by more than headcount. According to the pricing page:

  • QuickBooks Online sync starts at Essentials. Basic does not include it. If your books are in QuickBooks, Essentials at $149 a month is your real starting price.
  • Recurring service plans are MAX only. If you sell maintenance agreements (HVAC tune-ups, quarterly pest service, weekly pool cleaning), the feature that runs them starts at $299 a month.
  • Zapier and open API access are MAX only. Connecting Housecall Pro to other software beyond its built-in integrations needs the top plan.
  • The visual Sales Proposal Tool is on MAX. The page values it at $40 a month. Basic includes standard quotes and estimates.

That puts a lot of weight on MAX. A two-person company that sells maintenance plans pays the same $299 as an eight-person one.

What Housecall Pro costs for your team size

The page publishes an extra-user price only for MAX ($35 a month each). For Basic and Essentials it does not say whether you can add users or what they cost, so this table uses the next plan that covers your headcount. Prices are on annual billing.

People who need a loginCheapest published optionPer monthPer year
1Basic$59$708
2 to 5Essentials$149$1,788
6 to 8MAX$299$3,588
10MAX + 2 users$369$4,428
12MAX + 4 users$439$5,268
15MAX + 7 users$544$6,528

If you need recurring service plans, start the table at MAX whatever your size: $299 a month for up to eight people.

What isn't in the sticker price

Add-ons

The pricing page lists a long set of add-ons: CSR AI, Sales Proposal Tool, Pipeline, Payroll, Accounting, Business Coaching, Voice, Campaigns, GPS and dashcams, Tap to Pay and Websites. It gives no price for any of them, so you will need a sales call to know what they add.

Payment processing

Cards are "as low as 2.59%", bank payments cost 1%, and checks deposited through the mobile app are free. "As low as" means some card payments cost more than 2.59%, so ask for the full rate schedule for the cards your customers use.

Card fees are usually a bigger line than the subscription. A shop taking $40,000 a month by card pays about $1,036 at 2.59%, before any per-transaction charge, which is more than three times the MAX plan.

Three years of Housecall Pro

Setup3 years, billed annually
Basic, 1 user$2,124
Essentials, up to 5 users$5,364
MAX, up to 8 users$10,764
MAX, 10 users$13,284
MAX, 15 users$19,584

These assume today's prices, no add-ons and no payment fees.

Housecall Pro vs Jobber on price

Jobber is the comparison most shops make. Here are both at the same team sizes, billed annually, using Jobber's prices from its own page on the same day (see our full breakdown of Jobber pricing):

TeamHousecall ProJobber ConnectJobber Grow
1$59 (Basic)$99$149
5$149 (Essentials)$149$229
8$299 (MAX)$229$299
10$369 (MAX)$229$299
15$544 (MAX)$299$399

A few things stand out:

  • At one user, Housecall Pro Basic is cheaper than Jobber Connect, but neither Basic nor Jobber's cheapest plan (Core, $29) syncs with QuickBooks.
  • At five users with QuickBooks, they cost the same: Housecall Pro Essentials and Jobber Connect are both $149.
  • From eight users up, Jobber costs the same or less. Housecall Pro's $35 per extra user on MAX adds up faster than Jobber's 10- and 15-user tiers.
  • Plans are not equivalent feature for feature. Recurring service plans are on Housecall Pro MAX; on Jobber, two-way texting starts at Grow. Price the plan that has the feature you need, not the cheapest one.

What reviewers say

On October 13, 2026, Housecall Pro had a 2.8 rating from 690 reviews on Trustpilot, with about a quarter of them one-star. Recent reviews repeat a few themes. A review from October 2026 called it good but too expensive. Another from the same month described long back-and-forth with support over an invoice that showed the wrong balance. These are a small sample from one site, so read them alongside reviews from people in your own trade.

The other route: building your own

We make Unstack, so weigh this section accordingly. Unstack is an AI builder: you describe how your business runs and it builds the tables, pages and automations, including a dispatch board, estimates, job records and a customer portal. Pricing is per workspace with unlimited users: Starter is $49 a month ($41 billed annually), and Business, which adds QuickBooks and Xero sync, integrations and AI phone and texting, is $149 ($124 annually).

The honest trade-offs:

  • It is not finished software on day one. You describe your workflows, and the builder builds them. Housecall Pro is ready the day you sign up.
  • Maintenance agreements are built, not bundled. Unstack does not have a ready-made agreements template yet. The builder makes one from a description. On Housecall Pro it is part of MAX.
  • Card fees are higher. Unstack charges 3.9% + 30¢ per card payment on Starter and Business. Against Housecall Pro's "as low as 2.59%", that is at least 1.3 points more. For ten users, Business saves $245 a month against MAX ($124 against $369), and the extra fee erases that at roughly $18,700 a month in card payments through the platform.
  • No route optimization and no offline mode.

Building your own is worth a look if per-user pricing is what is pushing your bill up, your card volume through the software is modest, or your trade keeps records the packaged tools do not handle. Otherwise a packaged tool is simpler.
