Payouts and balance: when you get paid

Money from your card payments, invoices and subscriptions builds up in your payment account and is paid out to your bank automatically. The Payouts tab shows your balance, your payout schedule and every past payout.

Open the Payouts tab

Open Tools in the sidebar, choose Finance and open the Payouts tab.

Your balance

The balance is split into three amounts:

• Available: ready for payout.
• Pending: payments that are still being processed. They move to Available once they clear.
• In transit: already sent and on the way to your bank.

A payment you took a few minutes ago shows as Pending first. That is normal. Card payments take time to clear before they can be paid out.

Payout schedule

Payouts are automatic. The tab shows your payout schedule and, when one is coming up, the date of the Next payout.

Payout history

Payout history lists each payout with its amount, status, method and arrival date. Use it to match deposits on your bank statement to what was paid out. If you have not taken a payment yet, the list is empty and fills in once you start accepting payments.

Click the refresh button on the tab to load the latest figures.

Change your bank account or business details

Bank details are part of your payment account.

1. Open the Account tab under Finance.
2. In the Account view, update your bank account or business details.

This tab needs the Payments & Payouts settings permission, which owners and admins have.

Tax documents

On the Account tab, switch to the Documents view to find tax documents for your payment account.

If a payout is late or missing

• Check the Account tab for a notice asking for more information. Payouts can be paused until a request like that is answered.
• Compare the dates. Check the payout's arrival date in Payout history. A payout that is in transit has left your payment account but may not show at your bank yet.
• If the balance shows money as Pending, it has not cleared yet and is not part of a payout.
• If none of that explains it, contact support with the payout date and amount from Payout history.
