Create your first app
You create your first app by signing up and answering a few setup questions. The AI builder then creates your first tables and pages for you.
- Go to unstack.us and sign up with your email and a password, or with Google.
- Confirm your email if you are asked to.
Your new workspace starts on a 14-day free trial. You do not need a credit card.
Answer the setup questions
Setup asks about your business so the builder has something to work from. The questions can vary, and you can skip most of them. Expect things like:
- What kind of business you run, and your website if you have one. The builder can read your site to pick up your brand.
- A name for your app and its address, such as
yourcompany.unstack.us. - Your colors, and whether you prefer light or dark.
- What you want to run in your workspace, and which tools you already use.
- Whether to start from a ready-made template.
- Teammates you want to invite now. You can also do this later.
At the end you may be offered a free one-to-one setup session with an Unstack expert.
Let the builder work
When setup finishes, the builder creates your first tables and pages. They appear in the App tab of the sidebar. Open a page and try it: add a record, edit it, search for it.
Ask for the next thing
Open the builder and say what is missing. Be concrete. Say you run a pool-service company. You might write:
- "Add a Customers table with name, address, phone and pool type."
- "Give me a page that shows this week's visits grouped by technician."
- "On the customer page, show that customer's past visits."
The builder makes the change and tells you what it did. By default the change goes live as soon as the builder finishes.
Good habits for the first week
- Ask for one thing at a time. Small requests are easier to check.
- Use your real words. If you call them "jobs", say "jobs", not "work orders".
- Put in a few real records early. You will see what is missing much faster.
- If something looks wrong, say what you expected to see.
