Start from a Marketplace template
A template is a ready-made app, or part of one, that you install into your own app and then change to fit. This article explains where to find templates and how to install one.
Open the Marketplace
- In an app, click the Marketplace button at the bottom of the sidebar, or open Tools and choose Marketplace.
- In the Hub, choose Marketplace in the sidebar.
- You can also browse without signing in at unstack.us/marketplace.
The Marketplace has sections for Templates, Agents, Collections and Builders. A collection is a set of templates installed together. Use the search box to find templates for your kind of business.
What a template contains
A template can include tables and data, pages, automations, AI employees and roles. The template's page shows what is included before you install it.
Install a template
- Open the template and choose to install it.
- Pick the app to install it into, or choose Create New App to put it in a fresh app.
- If the template lets you, tick what to install: tables and data, pages, AI employees, automations, roles.
The tables and pages are added to the app you picked.
Free and paid templates
Many templates are free. A paid template shows its price before you buy, and you pay once for each app you add it to. Some are billed monthly instead, and the price says so. In the iPhone app, paid templates are bought on the web at unstack.us.
After you install
The template is yours. Change anything with the AI builder: rename fields, remove pages you do not need, add what is missing. Your changes do not affect anyone else.
Templates you have installed are listed under My Templates in the Marketplace. When a template's creator publishes an update, you can apply it from there. A snapshot of your app is taken first.
Things to know
- Your plan's limits still apply. On the Free plan an app can have up to 10 custom pages.
- A template that includes automations or AI employees needs a plan that has those features, which is Starter and up.
- During setup you may also be offered a template to start with. That installs the same way.
