Use your own domain

You can serve your website and your customer portal at your own domain instead of your Unstack address. Connect a domain you already own, or buy one inside the app and skip the DNS setup.

What one domain covers

One domain covers three things. You choose which ones to turn on:

• Website: your public pages, at yourdomain.com.
• Client portal: your customer portal, at portal.yourdomain.com.
• Agent email: the address your AI agents send and receive mail from, at agents.yourdomain.com.

Your Unstack address keeps working after you connect a domain. It never expires.

Open Domains

Open Tools in the sidebar and choose Domains. The page shows the address we give you and any domains you have connected. Click Add a domain to start.

Connect a domain you own

1. Choose I already own a domain.
2. Enter your root domain, such as example.com. Enter just the root. The subdomains are added for you.
3. Switch on what you want it to cover: Website, Client portal, Agent email.
4. Click Continue. You see a list of DNS records to add.
5. Sign in to the company where you registered the domain and add those records exactly as shown. Each value has a copy button.
6. Back on the Domains page, click Check next to the domain.

DNS changes usually take a few minutes and can take up to an hour. If Check says DNS is not pointing here yet, wait and try again. When the domain is live it is marked as live on the list.

For agent email, add all of the records listed. If any are missing, your agents' replies are likely to land in spam.

Buy a domain here

1. Choose Buy one here.
2. Type a name or your business name and click Search.
3. Available domains are listed with a price. Click the price on the one you want.
4. Enter the contact details of the domain's legal owner. These go to the registrar, not on your website.
5. Click Continue to payment and pay.

There is no DNS to set up. We run the domain's DNS for you.

A new domain takes a few minutes, and occasionally up to an hour, to reach the internet. The Domains page checks on its own and switches the domain to live. Your website, portal and agent email then start working on the new address without any further steps.

Two things to know about a domain you buy here:

• Confirm ownership by email. The registrar emails the address you bought the domain with. Click the link in that email within 15 days. This is a rule for every new domain, and the domain is suspended if you miss it.
• It renews yearly on your existing billing. The renewal date is shown next to the domain.

Disconnect a domain

On the Domains page, click the disconnect button next to the domain and confirm. Your site and portal stay available at your Unstack address.

Troubleshooting

• Still not live after an hour. Compare the records at your registrar with the ones on the Domains page, character by character. A stray space or a record added under the wrong name is the usual cause.
• "Already connected to another workspace". A domain can be connected to one workspace at a time. Disconnect it there first.
• It asks for an extra TXT record. The domain was used with another hosting account before. Add the TXT record shown to prove you own it.
