Docs and files
Each app has a place for written documents and uploaded files, so procedures, notes and paperwork live next to the work they belong to.
Where they are
Open the Tools tab. Your docs and files are in the Files section at the bottom. Use the search box to find a doc or file by name.
Create a doc
Click + at the bottom of the sidebar while on the Tools tab and choose New doc. Give it a title and start writing. Docs are collaborative, so teammates can work in the same doc.
Upload files
Choose Upload file from the same + menu, or use Upload files in the Files section. Uploaded files can be opened, downloaded, renamed, moved and deleted.
Folders
Choose New folder to create a folder. Move docs and files into folders with Move to. You can rename or delete a folder from its menu.
Find things faster
- Mark a doc as a favorite.
- Use Sort & filter to sort by name, last updated or created date, and to show only favorites, private docs or team docs.
Who can see a doc
Each doc has a setting for who can see it. A private doc is visible only to you. A team doc is visible to your team.
Share a doc outside your team
Open the doc's Share menu and turn on Share to web. This creates a link that anyone can open without signing in. Copy the link and send it. To stop sharing, turn the switch off. Reset link replaces the link with a new one, so the old one stops working.
Only share to the web when the content is safe for anyone who has the link.
Other actions
From a doc's or file's menu you can Rename, Duplicate, Download and Delete.
Docs and the AI
The AI builder and your agents can read and write docs. You can ask the builder to draft a procedure, or to summarize a doc you already have.
Storage
Uploaded files count toward your plan's storage for the app: 5 GB on Free, 20 GB on Starter and 100 GB on Business.
Who can use docs
Docs are on for every role by default. An owner or admin can turn Docs off for a role under Tools, Team & Access, Roles & Permissions.
